Watch North America vs Asia in the World of Tanks Pacific Rumble!

Get ready for some more hot tank action, as Wargaming’s Pacific Rumble kicks off this afternoon in Tokyo! The two best teams from North America are facing off against the two best from Asia Pacific, in what should be a pretty heated little tournament.

The North American Wargaming League Season 1 champions Noble eSports and Season 1 runners-up High Woltage Caballers are travelling to Tokyo to go up against Asia’s best – Japanese wildcard Caren Tiger, Korea’s KongDoo (formerly Arete) and China’s EL Gaming. There’s a $100,000 prize pool on offer, $45k of which goes straight to the winners.

The games will all use Season 1’s 7/54, Attack/Defense mode, but things are changing up before Season 2. To introduce the new Tier X format, Noble and EL Gaming will play a showcase game to start today’s event.

According to the boffins at Wargaming, US team Noble are the hot favourites, but HWC is looking to prove themselves and EL Gaming are out to better their second place at the Global Grand Finals. It could be tough – and it’ll definitely be good.

It all kicks off in half an hour, at midday Tokyo time (what’s that in my timezone?), and you can watch it all live right here – or on BattleViewer.com. Our own Punkley is on the ground in Tokyo, so you can expect a full report very soon on Player Attack!
