Hey! You there! Want to make a trailer for Just Cause 3?

Fancy yourself a bit of a videographer? Want to win big cash? Square Enix wants you to create your own trailer for Just Cause 3 – and the best one will take home a US$5000 prize package including a shiny new PC.

The brief is simple. Capture “all the action, energy and atmosphere of Just Cause 3” in a one-to-two minute trailer. The studio’s providing a Creative Kit featuring gameplay footage and licensed music from Razihel (including stems). Don’t have audio editing software that’s up to scratch? Download Cakewalk’s SONAR Steam Edition (for free!) and use that. Don’t want to use the provided footage? Provide your own!

Jon Brooke VP Brand & European Marketing at Square Enix explains:

Just Cause 3 is a game designed with streamers and content creators in mind; a true sandbox built to be explored and played creatively. To that end, it felt right to offer our fans – who’ve posted over 4 million Just Cause 2 trailers to YouTube since launch – the opportunity to create our launch trailer. It takes a leap of faith to invite your fans to make something as important as your launch trailer, but we’re really excited to see what they come up with.

The trailer will be judged by a panel of experts from Square Enix and Avalanche Studios, with the team looking for three key points: Best Action, Best Use of Audio and Best Humour. The Best Overall Winner will be picked from these categories, the winner awarded the grand prize, and the video itself used as the official launch trailer for Just Cause 3!

Other prizes include the latest 6th generation Intel processor, as well as cool stuff from Neat Microphones, KRK Monitors, Cakewalk, TASCAM and Epiphone.

To find out more – or to submit your entry – point your browser towards MyTrailer.JustCause.com – but be quick, the deadline is 12th November, 23:59 GMT!

(Of course, if you’d prefer, just wait for Just Cause 3 – it’s due to hit PS4, Xbox One and PC from December 1.)
