Watch live eSports action on Australian TV tonight!

Okay guys, this is kinda big. Tune in to Fox Sports 1 from 8pm Sydney time tonight to watch some live eSports action, direct from Melbourne’s Crown Casino. It’s the last couple of hours of Crown’s $55,555 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Invitational, and it’s already drawn a massive crowd.

Watch out for this guy.

Watch out for this guy.

Yep, there it is. CS:GO nestled in between UFC and the British Masters Golf… not something you see every day (particularly not in Australia), and something that makes us smile pretty big.

Alternatively, if you don’t have Foxtel, or you can’t get to a TV, you can watch all the action online at the Fox Sports website (no embeddable option for this one, sorry!).

It’s the first major production put on by that local ESL office, which was set up to promote eSports in the Land Down Under – and it looks like the group’s off to a great start. Tickets to the strictly 18+ event sold out ridiculously fast, which is hopefully enough to convince both ESL and Crown to do this sort of thing again (and again and again).

Of course, if you miss tonight’s broadcast, it will be shown again on Tuesday this week on Fox Sports 3 at 3am Tuesday morning (Sydney time), and highlights of the weekend’s festivities will pop up on the Crown eSports Twitch channel as well.

Stay tuned.
