We love charts here at Player Attack, and one of the highlights of our week is receiving the latest details from UKIE, who send us the 10 best-selling titles in Britain, as announced by The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment.
It’s another first, as Rare Replay hits #1 with a bullet this week – the first Xbox One exclusive title ever to top the charts. It’s also the first Rare-developed game to achieve this lofty goal since (wait for it) the N64 release of Banjo-Kazooie, all the way back in 1998.
We’re not going into whether or not the game “deserves” to be at number one, but we will agree that there wasn’t really much competition this week. There are no new releases, and all games in the Top 10 experienced a drop in sales. Due to the wonders of arithmetic, that was still enough for The Elder Scrolls Online and Minecraft to climb two places each, but everything else has slipped down a peg or two. Maybe next week will be more exciting.
