Each week, gamers around the world log onto digital distribution platform Steam, to get their latest gaming fix, and every week, Player Attack lets you know which games were the most popular.
Last week, we learned that Rocket League is actually a sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars – today, we’ve learned that it took the new game just three weeks to more than double the lifetime sales of the original.
It’s already been downloaded more than 5 million times, across PC, PS4 and PlayStation Plus, where it’s free until tomorrow (August 4). Just a week ago, developers Psyonix was reporting Rocket League had been downloaded 4 million times.
Have you played it yet? Looking at the social media buzz around the game, we’re guessing it won’t be long before it hits 6 million.
