Described as the “must-see video game concert of the year”, Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions is headed to Australia, playing a series of dates across Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth in November.
It’s an Australian first, and you’re invited to experience the evolution of Pokémon, as a live orchestra plays familiar tunes, accompanied by gameplay footage on the big screen.
The live concert series features orchestrated arrangements from across the colourful history of Pokémon, starting with Red and Blue and coming all the way up to the modern day. Some tunes have also been taken from the long-running anime series, as well as from the games.
You’ve still got a little while before the orchestra comes to your town: Symphonic Evolutions is currently playing its way across North America, putting on a stand out show at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles before heading to Canada and with plans to hit Mexico in October.
For the official Pokémon Symphonic Evolutions schedule, head to the event website. The show comes to Melbourne on November 13, Perth on November 15 and Adelaide on November 17, before three shows at the Sydney Opera House across November 20th and 21st, including a 2pm matinee session on Saturday. Tickets are available through local retailers and online.
