Ever been sitting on your couch, PlayStation controller in hand, craving some barnyard tomfoolery and cursing PC and Xbox owners? Well, have I got news for you! Firstly, good on you for perpetuating the platform wars. Secondly, that crazy Goat Simulator game everyone loves is coming your way!
Just like its Xbox counterpart, the PlayStation ports will support local splitscreen co-op: two players on PS3 and four players on PS4. The PlayStation versions will also feature a bizarre sounding mode the devs are calling ‘GOATVR’, a mode the developers describe as a simulated VR experience that doesn’t require a VR headset at this point. Currently, the mode is unfinished but apparently an early version will be there in the PS versions.
“We still need to do that part where it connects to an actual headset but for now you can enjoy a simulated GoatVR experience without it,” said Mark South, chief operating officer at Double Eleven. “We’ve also added a score multiplier to help offset the concerns we’ve had from a very few number of Beta testers that felt it was somewhat difficult to ‘see where you are going.'”
So, not only will you PlayStation kids get an overdue port but you’ll also able able to experience the most goat-ish version of the game known to man! Good times!
