Oculus has thoughtfully put together a handy sizzle reel of all the games that are due out on the Rift platform, while individual developers have also created their own.
We were also shown a quick look at Chronos, from Gunfire Games, which has formed from the ashes of Vigil Games and Crytek‘s US branch. This is an atmospheric RPG that incorporates a unique “aging” mechanic – the young hero you start off with has very different skills and abilities to the elderly man you play at the end. You’ll become a more seasoned warrior, but your reflexes will suffer…
CCP Games were on stage too, showing off EVE Valkyrie with an older (but still mind-blowing) first-person trailer. The team has been working on VR even longer than Oculus, but decided to focus on games instead of hardware. Now, they can re-combine their two passions!
…other games mentioned on stage but not shown off include Damaged Core by High Voltage Software, VR Sports Challenge by Sanzaru Games, Esper from Coatsink and a new VR build of Airmech from Carbon Games – these are shown in the compilation video above.
But wait! There’s more! Oculus head of worldwide studios Jason Rubin also confirmed that a whole stack of other studios are getting involved, too – including Square Enix, Harmonix, Ready At Dawn, 4A Games, Climax Studios, Glu, Signal Studios, Ozwe and Playful.
