We love charts here at Player Attack, and one of the highlights of our week is receiving the latest details from UKIE, who send us the 10 best-selling titles in Britain, as announced by The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment.
Look! Look! It’s a Nintendo game very, very close to the top of the charts! Sure, The Witcher III was strong enough to hold it off, but that’s a very valiant attempt from Splatoon – officially the fastest-selling Wii U game in history and the biggest ever launch of new IP on the console. (It’s pushed ZombiU off its pedestal, if you were wondering.)
The squiddy shooter has caused a little bit of disruption, of course, pushing Farming Simulator 15 down to #5, and rearranging most of the rest of the top 10. A 33% sales increase sees Minecraft for Xbox getting back into the swing of things, while promotions are responsible for other old favourites making significant leaps – Far Cry 4 up to #14 and LEGO Batman 3 sitting pretty at #19.
