Christopher Lloyd stars in King's Quest remake

We live in a world where everything old is new again, so you can’t be too shocked that King’s Quest is coming back. However, you can be pleasantly surprised to learn that the teams at The Odd Gentlemen and Sierra are going to great lengths to ensure that the game is top-notch – and that includes the voice cast.

The storyline of the game is simple. King Graham is telling his beloved granddaughter Gwendolyn all about his adventures and journeys as a young person – all the exciting people he met, places he went and things he saw. As the player, you can relive these stories too, through the same sort of point-and-click blend of exploration, puzzles and wit you grew up with.

The young King Graham – who wanders through the saga – is played by Josh Keaton, an actor best known for playing Peter Parker in the animated series The Spectacular Spider-Man and also Valerian Mengsk in StarCraft II.

He’s joined by an impressive cast including Zelda Williams (The Legend of Korra), Wallace Shawn (The Princess Bride, Toy Story), Tom Kenny (Adventure Time, SpongeBob SquarePants), and up-and-coming actress Maggie Elizabeth Jones as Gwendolyn.

…and we’re very happy to say that the prized role of elder King Graham will be played by none other than Christopher Lloyd – Doc Brown from Back to the Future, Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and Uncle Fester from The Addams Family, to name but a few of his iconic roles.

King’s Quest will be released episodically, with the first chapter due digitally later this year, for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC. With a voice lineup like this, we can’t wait to see more!
