Batman: Arkham Knight: Who is Batgirl?

Warner Bros. has taken the wraps off of a few more juicy details about Batman: Arkham Knight, including the star-studded voice acting cast and just who is behind the Batgirl mask!

Pulling talent from across genres, platforms and screens, Rocksteady has assembled a killer lineup of actors for the game. We already knew Kevin Conroy as Batman, Troy Baker as Two-Face, Nolan North as Penguin and MLP voice Tara Strong as Harley Quinn, but the new additions are stunning:

  • Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad) as James Gordon
  • John Noble (The Lord of the Rings) as Scarecrow
  • Ashley Greene (The Twilight Saga) as Barbara Gordon
  • Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) as Nightwing

Yep, our friend Scott Porter is popping up in another comic-related role (he’s also Aquaman in Lego Batman 3 and Cyclops in the X-Men TV series), and he’s just a little bit stoked about the deal.

Finally. Guys I’m Nightwing in #Batman #ArkhamKnight!!! Keeping a secret identity is hard!

Batman: Arkham Knight was planned to launch in 2014 during Batman’s 75th anniversary, but was unfortunately pushed back to 2015. If you want to hear Scott, Ashley, John, Jonathan, Tara, Nolan, Troy or Kevin, you’ll have to be ready for launch, June 23.

Oh, and as for Batgirl? That’s none other than Miss Barbara Gordon herself. Remember, this is a prequel story.
