We love charts here at Player Attack, and one of the highlights of our week is receiving the latest details from UKIE, who send us the 10 best-selling titles in Britain, as announced by The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment.
There are a number of reasons why it’s great to see Dying Light at the top of the charts this week. The game’s been out for weeks now via digital release, but it’s only just hit physical shelves, and it seems more than a few people were happy to wait. It’s the first WBIE game to hit #1 since The LEGO Movie Videogame. It’s another zombie-themed #1 for Techland, following the crowd-pleasing Dead Island series. And, most excitingly, it’s the third consecutive new IP to take the top spot in the past three weeks. Whoever said new ideas don’t sell wasn’t paying attention.
We’re also seeing the best first-week UK performance for a Dragon Ball title, as Dragon Ball Xenoverse debuts at #3, while Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires – out now for Xbox One and PS4 – hits the ground running at #21.
