Just can’t get enough streaming video? Want to show your love for the platform, rather than the game? Well, Twitch has just the event for you! TwitchCon is set for September 25-26 in San Francisco, California – and it seems that everyone’s invited!
The event promises to be just the first in a new annual tradition, which is dedicated to Twitch‘s community of partners, broadcasters and viewers.
The wraps were taken off during the company’s weekly update show, where it was also confirmed that the event will be held in San Francisco’s Moscone Center – the same location that’s preparing to host GDC next week.
Twitch CEO Emmett Shear explains:
Twitch broadcasters have the most passionate fans, so we want to create an amazing experience where they can come together in person. TwitchCon will be an opportunity for the entire community — broadcasters, game developers, viewers, and us — to play and learn together.
Attendees will be able to “learn from the community’s thought-leaders”, meet popular broadcasters, and experience live content, which will also be broadcast directly from the convention centre.
