If you haven’t yet had a chance to go hands-on with Battlefield Hardline, now’s your chance. Visceral has announced an open multiplayer beta will run from February 3 to February 8, on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. We’ve also got a new trailer to show off just what’s in store!
The Hardline beta presents three different gameplay modes for fans to sample: Hotwire, where criminals attempt to steal certain cars while cops try to repossess them; Heist, which revolves around that one big job – the bank vault; and Battlefield favourite Conquest, with epic battles for up to 64 players. Another new mode – Hacker – will also feature, taking surveillance “to the next level” as one player on each side can hack into security cameras, spotting enemies and specifying target areas.
There’s nothing more valuable to our team than the relationship we have with our community. Their passion feeds our passion and their feedback has definitely helped make Hardline a better game. We want them to play the hell out of the beta next week and trust that they’ll keep that feedback coming so we can continue to fine tune the game.
That community support isn’t guaranteed for Hardline – with less than two months to go before the new FPS hits shelves, more than a handful of gamers are on the fence about whether Visceral can do the franchise justice. The team’s promising “innovations with story, speed and strategy”, but will removing the actual battlefield from the game backfire?
Battlefield Hardline is set to hit PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One from March 20th.
