Daniil Volkov, World of Warships Development Director explains:

World of Warships’ first Beta weekend was a great success. There was an undeniable demand for the fourth class of warships—the aircraft carriers. The unique RTS style of gameplay that they have, together with the extension of tech trees up to Tier 10 and introduction of Divisions will offer a wealth of great content for players and open up a new dimension to their gameplay.

World of Warships: Wings Over the Water

This time around, there are four classes of warships available – stealthy destroyers, stalwart cruisers, devastating battleships and the new terrifying aircraft carriers. These new boats bring an RTS-style gameplay element, with the ability to launch three different types of warplane squadrons (dive bombers, torpedo bombers and fighters), against any opponent.

By playing this weekend, you’ll be given the opportunity to level up and unlock new military vessels – including the USA Fletcher destroyer and Pensacola cruiser and the Yamato and Nagato battleships from Japan, as well as the Shimakaze destroyer.

For the first time, Wargaming is also giving testers the ability to team up in Divisions – so you and two other friends can team up in World of Warships to take on your enemies together.

What are you waiting for? Off you go! Grab your key, head to the World of Warships: Wings Over the Water website to grab the client, and you’re good to go! See you on the battlefield open water!
