Last year, the master of quirky titles, Tim Schafer, announced that his cult PC hit, Grim Fandango, would be coming to PlayStation 4, Vita, PC, Mac and Linux on Jan. 27. Well get excited ’cause that’s just round the corner! But better yet, today saw the announcement of the price- which is $14.99 (USD)- and the fact that it’ll be DRM free!
For those that don’t know, the game is a bizarre dark comedy meets neo-noir, classic adventure game and is straight up one of my favourites from the ol’ Lucas Arts days- and it’s easily one of Schafers best pieces of work. True fact. Google it.
The remastered version will basically be exactly what the title implies: a complete HD graphical overhaul complete with a re-orchestrated score to boot! Dump on top of that hours of developer commentary and you’ve got a pretty nifty package!
For you sticklers for specs, the system requirements include a dual-core CPU and 4 gigs of RAM. GoG.com says players will also need an ATI Radeon HD 4670 or Nvidia GTX 285 or better, with at least 512 MB VRAM. The game will also run with Intel HD Graphics 4000 or better.
The game is available to pre-order now from GOG.com
