The Witcher 3 requires 6GB RAM

We’ve still got more than four months to go before we can get our hands on The Witcher 3, but now’s the time to start thinking about upgrading your rig to play. Development team CD Projekt RED has released the system specs, and you might need to go shopping for more RAM.

At its most basic, the game will need at least 6GB of RAM, 40GB of free HDD space, and a DX11 GPU. Of course, if you want it to run at its shimmering best (and you do, trust me), you’ll need a few more bells and whistles.

  • GPU: Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660 or AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870
  • RAM: 6GB
  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1)
  • DirectX: DirectX 11
  • HDD Space: 40 GB

The Witcher 3 launches for PS4 and Xbox One alongside PC on May 19, 2015.
