It’s getting more and more difficult to try and find themes running through each week’s collection of screens – there’s just so many different games and so many different approaches! I mean… let’s see. Games like 99Moves celebrate simplicity, while EVE Online, on the surface at least, is anything but. Co-operative platformer JUJU is bright and colourful, and Blackguards 2 has chosen a more subdued palette. Evolve goes for gritty realism, compared to the comic-strip panels of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy.
Even games that are similar in concept are very different in execution: Look at the differences between Starsss, Rock Boshers DX, Life of Pixel and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams! Oh, video games. You really do have something for everyone, don’t you!
