Looks like it’s time to dust off that sidewinder flight stick and re-attach those pilot epaulettes because the king of the flight sims is back! Microsoft Flight Simulator X is ready to take off after nearly ten years sitting dormant in the hanger of time, thanks to Dovetail Games.
Dovetail Games’ port will find its new home on Steam, launching with 20 aircraft- spanning from single engine planes to commercial jets- and featuring over 80 missions and 24,000 airports. The new look Flight Sim X will also support multiplayer out of the gate, which has been updated to shake loose GameSpy requirements.
Flight Sim X will be ready for take off on December 18 and will even support everyones favourite gaming OS- Windows 8.1. There’s no price announced yet, but Dovetail Games says it will have a “spectacular introductory price.”
