We love charts here at Player Attack, and one of the highlights of our week is receiving the latest details from UKIE, who send us the 10 best-selling titles in Britain, as announced by The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment.
We’re not quite sure why the UK is celebrating Black Friday, but the sales event has prompted a 110% increase in sales for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, bringing the FPS back up to the top of the charts (and switching places with GTA V). Also interesting: 67% of the COD sales are on older consoles, while at launch we saw 68% shared between PS4 and Xbox One.
Looking at other games, FIFA 15 saw an 84% sales increase, jumping back up to #2, while sales dropped for Far Cry 4, down to #4. The highest new release this week is, of course, Pokémon Omega Ruby, hitting #7 with 2,400 sales more than Alpha Sapphire. If the two were combined, Pokémon would have comfortably settled into #3, but this year’s combo is still the biggest Pokémon launch ever.
…special mention this week goes to DriveClub, which has catapulted up the charts from #33 to #8 – a whopping 999% increase in units moved. Thanks, Black Friday sales! It’s just a pity the game’s still broken.
