I’m afraid you’ll have to wait a little longer to get your hands on Bloodborne, as Sony announces the PS4 successor has been pushed back to March, from its originally promised February launch. According to the developers, the extra time will give them a chance to properly implement changes that were flagged during the recent alpha test.
The team explains:
We were really grateful for all the player data and feedback we received from those who took part in our recent limited alpha test, and this extra development time will allow us to better integrate these learnings into the game.
Typically, fans are furious when games are delayed, but response to Bloodborne has been a little different. Labelled the successor to Dark Souls, it seems gamers are happy to wait for From Software to get everything absolutely perfect.
Meanwhile, even though the studio’s claiming it needs extra time, we wonder if there’s not another reason why the release has been postponed – another reason like that other PS4 exclusive, The Order: 1886, which is also set to launch in February.
