The first add-on pack for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has arrived, less than a month after the full game hit shelves. The team at Gearbox Software couldn’t wait to share the new content, it seems: You can finally play as Handsome Jack himself!
The Handsome Jack Doppelganger Pack is out now for Xbox 360 and PC (hitting PS3 later this week), and brings “hours of shoot ‘n’ loot action” to Pandora’s moon, Elpis.
Playing as the maniacal tyrant from Borderlands 2 (or at least his trusted body double, Jack the Doppelganger) means that you can use your stunningly good looks to distract your enemies – or cut them down with your witty banter and sharp tongue.
Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K explains:
With Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, we’re continuing the Borderlands franchise’s tradition of delivering high quality add-on content and supporting the game well after it launches. The Handsome Jack Doppelganger Pack adds hours of gravity-defying mayhem and is just the first of four upcoming add-on content packs.
Even though The Pre-Sequel was developed by Canberra studio 2K Australia, this new DLC pack has been created in-house at Gearbox Software, who reportedly couldn’t wait to get their hands on what the Aussies had come up with.
As Hartmann says, The Handsome Jack Doppelganger Pack is just the first of four DLC packs for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – if you already know you want all of them, a Season Pass is available, which will net you all four at a tasty discount.
