AC Unity, Far Cry 4, The Crew back on Steam

Curiouser and curiouser. Those Ubisoft games that disappeared from Steam last week are all back. Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4 and The Crew are all now re-available for pre-order, as if nothing ever happened.

Making things even weirder, neither Ubisoft nor Valve have made any public statements about why the games were removed in the first place, or why they’ve mysteriously returned.

Last week, we learned that the publisher had been chatting to Valve about Assassin’s Creed Unity, with the end result being that the game would not be available on Steam in the UK, but that was one game in one region, not all three internationally.

Today, it seems that while all three of Ubisoft‘s holiday blockbusters are still missing in the UK, the games have been restored for fans in other regions, including the US and Australia.

If you’re in the UK and hanging out to play Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4 or The Crew, you may need to look further afield than Steam. One option is always Ubi‘s proprietary uPlay Store, but there are other digital distribution partners to choose from (or, perhaps, you could go to a brick-and-mortar store and pick up a physical copy, for the novelty!).
