Seriously: Duke Nukem heads to Vita in January

If you’ve ever wanted Duke Nukem in your pocket, now’s your chance. Devolver Digital has confirmed that Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition is coming to Vita and PS3 in January 2015, nearly two years after it was first announced.

Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition hit Steam back in March 2013, as a handy bundle containing Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition and three DLC packs: Duke It Out In D.C., Duke Caribbean: Life’s a Beach and Duke: Nuclear Winter.

It’s still there, if you want to play it on PC, Mac or Linux – otherwise, North America gets to experience the combined PS3 / Vita launch first, on January 13, with Europe following one day later, on January 14.

The Steam version of the game’s been kept updated, too: Competitive and co-op cross-platform multiplayer was added earlier this year, giving the game 8-person Duke on Duke action.

The team at Abstraction Games handled the porting duties for this one, and apparently it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Duke was submitted to Sony in May, and reportedly hit “lots of certification issues” in the months that followed…
