You want it – you got it. Rockstar Games has announced that the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto V are getting a first-person gameplay mode, meaning you can explore the world of Los Santos directly through the eyes of Michael, Franklin and Trevor. It’s something gamers have wanted for years, and it looks like the studio’s finally delivering.
The new viewpoint will be available in both GTA V and GTA Online, and the developers have implemented a bunch of changes to make it all work. When the new game is out, you’ll be able to experience a new (optional) first-person cover system, a more traditional FPS control scheme and a new targeting system, all available at the touch of a button. If you want to stick with the third-person view, you’re more than welcome, of course!
All polished up for the new machines, Grand Theft Auto V is hitting PS4 and Xbox One on November 18, with the 4K-compatible PC build coming on January 27th.
