Collectible strategy game Scrolls is officially just weeks away from release, says developer Mojang. The game has been in open beta since June 2013, but that’s set to wrap up next month, when the game launches for real.
And yes, despite Microsoft now owning Mojang, the game is still coming to iOS and Android tablets, as well as both Mac and PC. Thanks to a nifty cross-platform set up, you’ll be able to carry your purchases, rankings and other options with you regardless of which machine you play the game on.
The game itself is available now (in beta) for US$20.95. As a launch celebration, it will be discounted to US$5 (we’re not sure if this is a permanent drop), but if you’ve previously registered a copy (even if you do that right now), you’ll pick up US$20 worth of in-game currency.
If you’d prefer to play Scrolls on iOS, you can snag a free demo version when it launches next month – and if you like it, fork over the premium price to unlock the full experience.
