The video presentation runs for a whopping 35 minutes and details the new game modes, stages, fighters and crazy fun stuff we’ve come to expect from Nintendo’s flagship multiplayer game.
One of the most interesting features (if sheerly not for causing broken controllers and equally broken friendships) is the 8 player brawl mode!
“In a major first for the franchise, a special mode lets eight players fight simultaneously in local multiplayer,” stated the company. “This option appears only in the Wii U version, and lets players compete on even larger stages to accommodate all the characters.”
These 8 player smash-fest will only be available on certain stages (for size reasons) and will not be available online. Nintendo also talked about rad extras like custom stage creation, controlling the Wii U version using 3DS controls; importing fighters from the 3DS version, random stage bosses like Ridley and Metal Face and a slew of other modes.
Super Smash Bros. Wii U will launch on November 21 for the Wii U.
