Rockstar Games has spoken out against the myriad of websites that have popped up claiming to have beta access to Grand Theft Auto V. Simply put, Any website that claims to have beta access is lying, and any files labelled as beta clients are likely to contain something much more nasty.
It’s not just a case of there being no beta access right now, says the studio. Take note: There is no pre-release beta of any kind for Grand Theft Auto V. There will be no beta test. There is no solicitation for any beta test.
The game will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC once, and nothing will be released before it.
Mark these dates:
PlayStation 4: November 18, 2014
Xbox One: November 18, 2014
PC: January 27, 2015
Any other releases to do with Grand Theft Auto V either have already been made (in the case of existing DLC or extra content), or will be released after those dates for those platforms.
Even if you see a website banner that looks legit, it’s not. It’s a scam.
If you really, really cannot wait to play GTA5, there is a super-duper simple solution. Play it on PS3 or Xbox 360. Otherwise, sit tight – November’s not that far off.
