Prepare your surprised faces, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is coming to PC after all, even if it’s not until some time next year. Ubisoft isn’t really making a big deal about it either, slipping the announcement into this brand new story trailer.
Even without the PC information, the trailer’s a pretty good one. It tells the story of how Shay, the game’s protagonist, became a Templar – remember, he started life as an Assassin. If you wanted to know how he left the Assassin’s creed to join their sworn enemies, and why he’s now hunting his former brothers, here’s the deal.
We first heard mumblings about a PC version of Rogue last month, when associate producer Karl Von Der Luhe told fans the studio would be “looking into [it] very soon” in response to gamer requests.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue hits PS3 and Xbox 360 next month, with the PC version now promised for next year. Whether this is because the version is a late addition to the project is a good question – the apparent delay could be because Assassin’s Creed Unity is hitting PC in early November, too.
