Xbox 360 prices slashed in Australia

Microsoft Australia has confirmed that it’s slashing the price of the Xbox 360 console starting tomorrow. It’s not just a little discount, either – the 250GB console (with or without Kinect) are dropping AU$100 off the recommended retail price.

The new price point sees a 250GB Xbox One console now priced at AU$199 (AU$299 with Kinect), a significant saving if you’re looking for some last-gen hardware. The much smaller 4GB model is coming down to AU$179 (AU$249 with Kinect), and the company’s also introducing a couple of new bundles.

The 500GB Holiday Value Bundle includes one month’s access to Xbox Live Gold and a copy of both Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

There’s also a new EB Games exclusive Special Edition Blue Bundle. This also comes with a 500GB hard drive and both games, but (wait for it) the console and controller are both blue.

Both of these new 500GB models will retail for a recommended AU$279. All prices are effective October 1, 2014.
