We love charts here at Player Attack, and one of the highlights of our week is receiving the latest details from UKIE, who send us the 10 best-selling titles in Britain, as announced by The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment.
FIFA 15 is here and has taken out the top spot in exactly the way we knew it would. 80% of all “entertainment software units” sold this week in the UK were related to the game, which hit eight platforms simultaneously. The sheer number of versions makes it difficult to compare FIFA 15 to previous renditions, but the boffins at GfK Chart Track have figured out that if you line up all the Week 1 numbers for different platforms, FIFA 15 has sold as many copies as FIFA 14 on its various debuts, but made an extra 6% in revenue.
As for the platforms themselves, it seems British gamers have fully embraced the newest generation – PS4 and Xbox One dominated the FIFA 15 sales landscape, with 54% of sales units. Interesting, no?
