BattleCry is coming to PAX Australia

Gamers headed to Melbourne for PAX Australia will be in for a special treat, as we’re told Bethesda Softworks is bringing multiplayer action combat game BattleCry Down Under for the show.

The game’s not even scheduled for beta release until next year, but PAX AUS attendees will be among the first in the world to go hands-on with the stunningly beautiful release.

Plus, if you want to know more about BattleCry or the developer that’s creating it, BattleCry Studios, team members are hosting a panel – BattleCry: Welcome to the WarZone, on Saturday November 1st at 2pm AEDT. Executive Producer Rich Vogel is joined by Design Director Lucas Davis, Senior Systems Designer Mark Tucker and Community Manager Shahin Kanafchian as they discuss the world they’ve created, packed with competitive multiplayer action. Plus, we’re promised there’ll be some exclusive swag if you’re that way inclined.

BattleCry is a team-based combat experience that combines competitive multiplayer with visceral brutality and some of the most stunningly beautiful artwork we’ve seen to date. It’s a free-to-play project that should make some big waves when it finally gets here. Pick your warrior (each one has their own separate suite of abilities and attacks), join a faction, and select your preferred weaponry, then jump into a 32-player battle. That is, if you’re up for it.

For more about BattleCry, check out the Player Attack interview with Viktor Antonov, creative director on the game.

PAX Aus 2014 kicks off on October 31st and runs until November 2nd at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
