Australia’s Warner Bros. Movie World is going to be taken over by The Evil Within. If you can’t get there, we’ve got a sneaky peek behind the scenes of the game – including the way Sound designer Masahiro Izumi created various effects. Want to know what sounds like a monster chewing on human flesh? This video explains it all.
Hopefully, once you’re in the game, you’ll not hear that flesh-chewing sound too much – it’s what plays if you happen to get captured and gnawed-upon by an enemy.
But back to Australia: The Evil Within is hitting Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast, in a theme-park first. The game will take over the park’s signature after-dark event, “Fright Nights”. Real-life characters from the game are placed inside a giant maze, which visitors are invited inside – and what we’ve seen so far seems appropriately terrifying.
It’s the sixth year for Fright Nights at Movie World, which applies a horror theme to the entire park, including themed food and beverages as well as spooky entertainment precincts.
The Evil Within hits Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC from October 16.
