If you thought Temple Run was just an empty, endless runner with no story and no depth, think again. Developer Imangi Studios has signed a deal with National Geographic Kids to bring the game to life through an “educational action-adventure book”.
As an exciting adventure story mixed with cool real-life information about explorers and ancient history, this jam-packed book is a blast for Temple Run players and fact-hungry kids alike.
Temple Run: Race Through Time to Unlock Secrets of Ancient Worlds sees Maria Selva exploring an assortment of iconic destinations, like Machu Picchu and Stonehenge, but her adventures don’t stop there. The character is also coming to Temple Run 2 as a playable character, alongside the book’s release.
Walter Devins, director of licensing at Imangi Studios continues:
The goal of this partnership is to get students excited about reading and learning. Teaming up with National Geographic is an amazing way to let our fans discover some of the awe-inspiring locations throughout the world that have influenced Temple Run.
