Have you ever looked at Ubisoft’s Assassins Creed franchise and gone “Dang! That looks like something I could get behind. If only it was available on my iPad/other million i-Devices I own! Oh and was a completely different genre, like, a card battle game!” Well super specific consumer, Ubisoft have got you covered with the release of Assassin’s Creed Memories!
Assassin’s Creed Memories is a free-to-play mobile spin-off title, that’ll have would be assassins stabbing up a storm through fan favorite locations like Renaissance Italy and (controversially, one of my favorites) Colonial America, as well as taking players to new periods such as feudal Japan and imperial Mongolia!
Players will be tasked with engaging in missions to hunt down boss targets, all the while collecting cards to boost your stats like attack, defense and the ability to keep your robe so crisply white. You’ll also acquire ally cards, that’ll have special characters summoned to help you in fights. You know, to make things fair, so they can hold ’em whilst you stab them repeatedly.
It’s also worth noting that this game is a collaboration between free-to-play mobile game developer PlayNext and mobile social company Gree. That means it’ll require an internet connection to play and includes obligatory in-app purchases, as well as (totally non-intrusive) social features.
