Minecraft + Lego seems to be a match made in (blocky) heaven, so is it any real surprise that there are more mash-up sets on the way? This time around, these actually use standard-sized bricks and figures – unlike the last lot, which were smaller Micro Worlds.
The images come courtesy Lego fansite The Brick Fan, showing off two impressive-looking sets. The first – The Cave – features everything you’d expect: TNT, an iron pickaxe, a spider, a lantern, a storage chest, a zombie and (of course), Steve!
The Farm contains Lego representations of in-game crops like sugar cane, wheat, pumpkins and carrots. There’s also a crafting table, a cow, a sheep, a skeleton, and (another) Steve.
The best news? This is just the beginning of these full-sized, fully-licensed sets. We’re promised others are still on the way, including The Mine, The First Night, The Ender Dragon and the mysterious “Creative Box”.
We don’t know any dates or availability on these ones yet – The Cave and The Farm popped up briefly on a UK retailer’s site but are now removed. You shouldn’t have too long to wait – if they’re not well and truly out by Christmas, something’s going wrong in the marketing department.
