Naughty Dog: More devs leave The Last of Us studio

Developer numbers at Naughty Dog are dwindling, with two lead developers announcing they’ve packed their bags and are headed to Call of Duty studio Infinity Ward.

Lead narrative designer Taylor Kurosaki was an editor on Uncharted 2, and cinematic production lead on Uncharted 3. He broke the news via Twitter:

Very psyched to share that I’ve joined the phenomenal team at Infinity Ward as the studio’s narrative director. To infinity and beyond.

Jacob Minkoff was lead designer on both Uncharted 3 and The Last of Us, and seems quite pleased about his new role:

New job! Design Director at Infinity Ward. Love ND; can’t wait to play Uncharted 4 as a fan. Excited to work with the talented team at IW!

The duo are the latest in a growing number of developers leaving Naughty DogThe Last of Us art director Nate Wells has already headed to Giant Sparrow, while lead character artist Michael Knowland left in late April, and Justin Richmond, game director on Uncharted 3 has departed for Riot Games.

But the biggest name was also one of the first to go: Writer and creative director Amy Hennig has jumped ship for Visceral Games, working on a new Star Wars title.
