Dance Central Spotlight starting tracklist revealed

Grab yer dancin’ shoes, Harmonix has set a date for the Xbox One exclusive release of Dance Central Spotlight. The studio also shared the game’s core tracklist, which forms the beginning of your amazing music library.

Starting September 2nd, you’ll be able to download Dance Central Spotlight exclusively on your Xbox One (with Kinect, obviously).

Dance Central Spotlight brings authentic dance routines, accurate body tracking using Kinect One, and chart-topping music, with even more variety and player choice than ever before. Now with eight different dance routines per song to choose from, Dance Central Spotlight is the most accessible, customizable Dance Central yet.

Harmonix is taking a new approach with this one – rather than making you buy an expensive, expansive music collection that you’ll never play, Dance Central Spotlight comes with just 10 tracks and a much lower price point.

  • Avicii – Wake Me Up
  • Cher Lloyd – I Wish
  • David Guetta ft. Sia Titanium
  • Jason Derulo ft. 2 Chainz – Talk Dirty
  • Kid Ink ft. Chris Brown – Show Me
  • Lorde – Royals
  • OneRepublic – Counting Stars
  • Pharrell Williams – Happy
  • Rihanna – Diamonds
  • will.i.am ft. Justin Bieber – #thatPOWER

If you want to add new songs, it’s easy – just head to the game’s Music Store and download to your heart’s content. There’s a small fee attached to each of these new songs, but if you’ve already got earlier verions of Dance Central on your Xbox 360, you can save a bit of cash. Once those songs are released for Xbox One, you can re-download them to run perfectly in Spotlight.

We’re promised more than 50 tracks, but we’ve got a sneaky reveal of some of the songs hitting the market at launch, to get your juices flowing:

  • Capital Cities – Safe and Sound
  • Emeli Sandé – Next To Me
  • Icona Pop ft. Charli XCX – I Love It
  • Lana Del Rey – Summertime Sadness (Cedric Gervais Remix)
  • The B-52’s – Love Shack

If you’re not sure you can dedicate this much time to dancin’, then maybe fire up the Dance Central Spotlight expanded Fitness Mode – these special routines are carefully tailored to focus on Strength and Cardio, as well as testing your sense of rhythm.
