Across the sea with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!

As we all know, Gearbox Software is based in the U.S.A., and 2K Australia is (surprise!) based in the land Down Under. How can these two studios work together from almost-opposite sides of the planet to create Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel? Let them show you.

This video is just the first in an on-going series that promises to explore how this third Borderlands title came about, and how it’s progressing in the leadup to release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in October.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! is not the first game to be developed in such diverse locations – we caught up with Julien Roby from Arkane Studios to chat how the Dishonored team worked in both Austin, Texas and Lyon, France.

…but 2K Australia should be old-hands at this sort of trans-continental development: It’s the same situation they were in when creating BioShock Infinite with San Francisco’s 2K Marin.
