Bethesda has announced an unusual activity for this year’s QuakeCon – “The Good Within Blood Drive”, organised alongside the American Red Cross and tying neatly into Shinji Mikami’s upcoming horror experience The Evil Within.
Jan Hale, External Communications Manager at the American Red Cross explains:
The Red Cross is grateful for Bethesda Softworks’ invitation to host a blood drive during such a critical time. The summer months are a particularly difficult period for blood collections and being a part of this event gives us more opportunities to help save lives.
Obviously, if you’re going to be at QuakeCon (held at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas) on Friday July 18 or Saturday July 19, you’re invited to make a donation to the Blood Drive. If you do, you’ll be given an official The Evil Within chill pack for your troubles.
QuakeCon has a great group of attendees who we think will want to help the community by donating blood. The American Red Cross is a terrific organization, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to QuakeCon.
To get involved, head to the Topaz room 1 at the event and sign up – please note, you’ll need to be at least 17 years old and meet American Red Cross blood donation requirements.
