With tickets almost totally sold out, PAX Australia doesn’t need to have killer guests for people to attend, but it certainly doesn’t hurt. This year, industry icon Pete Hines (Vice President of PR & Marketing at Bethesda Softworks) is guest of honour, providing the opening “Storytime” keynote on Friday morning.
For the past 15 years, Pete has been looking after the PR, marketing and community activities for all things Bethesda, including the massive Fallout and Elder Scrolls franchises, and more recently, Dishonored and The Evil Within.
Pete has been involved with every Bethesda title for the past decade and a half, working in various roles including writing manuals and playtesting games, but his most common position is the company’s chief spokesman. We met up with Pete when he was in Australia recently to chat about Wolfenstein: The New Order, and are very pleased to hear he’ll be coming back to share his wisdom with fellow Aussies.
PAX Aus hits the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 31 – November 2 this year, and Pete Hines will be joined by other international guests including musical acts Paul & Storm, Freezepop, and the return of the wonderful MC Frontalot.
If you want to catch Pete’s keynote, tickets for Friday are still available, as are single-day tickets for Sunday and 3-day international passes. Visit the PAX AUS website to snap ’em up – they won’t last long!
