If you’d been thinking about skipping QuakeCon this year and watching livestreams of the event, Bethesda has announced you’ll miss out on more than just the heady Texan atmosphere. The promised “sneak peek” of in-development shooter DOOM will be shown exclusively to convention attendees.
The game has been in development for years, known originally as Doom 4 but seemingly now dropping the number. During E3, we were told to expect a new look at development at Bethesda‘s annual event – but we didn’t realise the studio meant, literally, at the show.
This an exclusive thing we are doing for attendees as part of our annual QuakeCon Welcome presentation. We’ll have plenty more to show everyone at a later date, but we didn’t want another QuakeCon to go by without doing something special for the amazing QC community and id supporters that have been with us for more than 20 years.
QuakeCon 2014 is held from July 17-20 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas – let us know if you’re headed over!
