One of the more unusual titles to emerge from last week’s PlayStation Pre-E3 Press Conference is the new one from Suda51. Titled simply Let It Die, this one’s promising something a little different, even for the man who’s made “unusual” his trademark.
Paddy’s already mentioned the game’s bizarre aesthetics, but there’s more than meets the eye here.
The last time we saw Let It Die, it was called Lily Bergamo, but developer Grasshopper Manufacture tells us the focus of the game has changed, so the title has now, too. Let It Die is now officially a survival-action game headed exclusively to PlayStation 4.
Kazuki Morishita, CEO of publisher GungHo Online Entertainment explains:
SUDA51 and Grasshopper Manufacture have built a strong reputation delivering action games with a distinct visual and narrative flair. With the creative input from GungHo Online Entertainment, LET IT DIE promises to deliver an intense survival action-focused experience for players. E3 was the ideal stage to take the cover off this unique game and we’re sure fans will be eager for our next unveiling.
We caught up with Suda51 at E3 last week, so stay tuned for more details on Let It Die (including the creative way that character deaths are incorporated into the future of the game world)… if you can’t wait though, head to the game’s official website for all the latest, plus a nifty Easter Egg tucked away inside for fans who are paying attention.
