In one of the most surprising E3 announcements of all, Sony announced that a remade version of PC classic Grim Fandango will be coming to the PS4 and Vita. The company stated the release was a result of their relationship with Disney, who bought Lucasarts and all their properties before shutting the studio down. There was a long history of bitterness surrounding Schafer and his former studio, specifically relating to I.P so this is great news for fans who hope to see new iterations of classic Schafer adventure games in the future.
After the event, Schafer took to Twitter to state that:
Talk about other platforms soon! Sony’s been a great help making this happen & we’re excited to be working with them on the console version!

This certainly makes it sound like the game will come to other platforms and considering it states “Console Version” can we hope for a PC release.
