If you enjoyed our interview with Jazz Brousseau about EA Sports UFC, you might also like to go check out the game’s brand new playable demo. It’s available right now for Xbox One and PS4, and is set to give you a good taste of what’s in store when the game launches later this month.
While the full game features a roster of nearly 100 fighters, the demo gives you just two, as you’re invited to revisit the 2013 Fight of the Year between light heavyweight champ Jon “Bones” Jones and contender Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson.
It’s your turn to rewrite history, pushing the athletes to their limits across three rounds… or finishing things off early with a nice, neat TKO or submission.
The demo is also a great opportunity to come to grips – literally – with the game’s control system, which takes a little getting used to. Run through the full EA Sports UFC tutorial system and sort out the basics before stepping into the Octagon and putting your pride on the line.
EA Sports UFC uses brand new Ignite technology and has been built from the ground up for new-generation consoles. Promising to “capture the human athleticism, physiology and emotion of the athlete” like no other game, you’ll be able to pick up the full version of the game – for PS4 and Xbox One – on June 17 in North America and June 20 in Europe.
