Flappy Bird returning to mobile devices in August

It’s time to retrain your micro-second finger twitches and take out that insurance policy on your phone because the original Flappy Bird is back and due to hit mobile devices in August!

Flappy Bird: This is what all the fuss is about.

The stuff stress dreams are made of!

Flappy Bird was pulled from the iTunes App Store and Google Play in February after the Vietnam-based indie developer Dong Nguyen believed the game to be too addictive and because of the torrent of online abuse he had received for creating the game.

Nguyen has apparently had a change of heart though, announcing the games return to CNBC’s Kelly Evans today. Nguyen promises that the new version will have a multiplayer component and that it “will be less addictive” than the previous one.
