Prepare your surprised faces: Xbox 360 Titanfall gamers will have to wait a little while for their DLC. EA explains that 360 developer Bluepoint needs to wait for Respawn to finish its work on the Xbox One and PC versions, before it can complete the content for the older console.
EA reassures fans that the DLC will still come to Xbox 360 – including both free and premium content – but doesn’t yet offer a timeframe.
Updates for the Xbox 360 will naturally follow behind similar updates for the PC and Xbox One. This timing difference is due to the same reasons that more time was needed to finish Titanfall for the Xbox 360. Respawn must first finish their additions and improvements for the Xbox One and PC, and afterwards Bluepoint can then grab the latest and update the Xbox 360 version. We’re working with Respawn and Bluepoint to streamline the process and close the gap, allowing Xbox 360 updates to be published as closely as possible to Respawn’s updates.
To illustrate the sort of delay we’re talking about: Bluepoint is currently working on transferring Content Update 2 to the Xbox 360 – this has been broken into two pieces for the last-gen release, so the Gooser challenge is separate from the others.
The upcoming Expedition DLC is also in the works for all platforms, bringing three new maps to Xbox One and PC this month, and Xbox 360 some time in June.
