So it’s about that time of year again, when all the Australian die-hard games fans start planning which con’s they wish to attend come end of the year. EB Expo? PAX Aus? (if you haven’t already snagged a ticket, I think you’re a spot out of luck there) Both, even?
Well, EB Games has announced today that their convention (or Expo as they call it) will be held at Sydney Olympic Park over the October 3 -5 weekend and has confirmed the attendance major publishers Activision, Electronic Arts, Nintendo, Sony, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft.
If being barraged by a plethora of new release and upcoming titles from these publishers wasn’t enough, there will also side attractions like the Family Zone Café, the Lovesac Handheld Lounge & Stage, Free Play City, Retro Central Park, The Arcade and hands on with the Playstation 4 and Xbox One in The NXT Gen Lab.
Debra McGrath, EB Games National Brand, events and engagement manager added to this by saying:
“Whether you’re a gaming enthusiast or someone who just likes to play with your family, you’ll be spoilt for choice over the weekend. We’ve kept everyone’s favourite events and live shows from last year and planning heaps of new exciting content that will make this year’s EB Expo the biggest and best ever.”
EB Expo tickets will go on sale 10 am AEST April 24. As with most large scale events there are varying ticket types ranging from the $39.95 daylight or twilight general admission, up to the $199 single day Express Gamer Pass.
All pricing and scheduling can be found on the official EB Games Expo Page here.
Hopefully we’ll catch you guys out there!
