Far Cry 4 hasn’t been officially announced – yet – but rumours are already swirling about just what’s in store in the new game in the series. Brace yourself – the highlight so far? Ridable Elephants.
An early rumour suggested the game would take place in the Himalayas, something new sources seem to be agreeing with. “People familiar to the project” have spoken to Eurogamer, confirming the series is taking a sharp turn away from tropical islands and lush forests. Instead, we’re told to expect an adventure among the mountainous Asian region, potentially even stepping on to Mt. Everest itself.
While it’s a drastic change, the sources hint that there are big things in store (besides the lofty peaks). The mountains are home to all sorts of interesting wildlife, and while you’ll be able to hunt some of the smaller ones, those elephants are set to play a key role.
Of course, this could all be proven to be rubbish, no matter how “reliable” the sources. Ubisoft is yet to make any official statement, and none is expected until June, when Far Cry 4 is anticipated to make a splash at E3 2014.
