More than 1.5m playing The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot

The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot only kicked off its open beta test a couple of weeks ago, but already Ubisoft‘s latest project has seen more than 1.5 million registrations.

These gamers have come from more than 240 countries and territories around the world, to converge on the medieval fantasy of Opulencia. While there, gamers fight, hack and slash their way through their neighbours’ castles – and at the same time, build up their own defences to protect their own castle from invaders.

Fans have looted more than 29 billion pieces of gold across 790,000 player-created castles. That’s no small feat: It’s taken 28 million in-game hours to reach the milestone – and more than 3,360 of those have been shared online via Twitch.

According to Ubisoft, The Knight remains the looter chosen most often. Whether gamers are picking him for his well-rounded manners, his legendary charm or his skills in the battle arena, we’re not sure, but he was the most popular during the closed beta, so this isn’t terribly surprising.

If you’ve not yet jumped into Opulencia and taken on The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, you can do that right now by heading to and grabbing all the details for the open beta.
